Parisian-rebel Simone Segouin, also known by her nom de guerre “Nicole”, with a German submachine gun MP-40. She killed an unknown number of Germans and captured 25. She was present at the fall of Chartres, on August 23, 1944, and liberation of Paris. She was promoted to lieutenant, and awarded the Croix de guerre. (Source)

Literally speechless, this is amazing.
This sort of stuff really freaks me out.
On 5th October, 1789, Women gathered at the Parisian markets to demand that city officials attend to the harsh economic conditions and the rising price of bread, as well as an end to the blocking of the National Assembly. The responses they received were unsatisfactory so as many as 7000 women joined the march to Versailles, bringing with them cannons and other weapons.
